For the few who follow this blog, my apologies for my absence... But I have been missing for good reason. I had a baby girl in February and haven't had much time between diapers for painting. But for those I promised months ago, here are pictures of what my daughter's room ended up looking like. It was tough to decide what to paint since we didn't know her sex til she was born so we decided on something fun and funky no matter what sex the baby was...

I painted this bench for my friend Cindy... and her dog Mr. Louie :-)

She asked if I could paint a beach scene with a lighthouse, and Mr. Louie, of course. I was hoping since she has him on the bench that she might be willing to leave the real dude behind when she moved. No such luck... I'll miss you guys.

Fairytale Playroom Mural

In this room the client wanted a simple fairytale forest but with all the makings of a true fairytale... So we have a glittered unicorn and peacock, rhinestone butterflies and, of course, a princess' castle! If you look closely you can see the shimmer on the leaves and rhinestones in the centers of the flowers.

SO MUCH FUN!! This client wanted a mural that her son could interact with. So, we decided on a control panel on the mini door in his playroom, with a window that looks out into space. The image of the alien in the UFO was taken from a drawing that Joseph drew for me. He wanted to make sure the alien was a true representation. Thank you for your help and keeping me company, Joseph :-)

Ribbon by the Yard Mural

Yes. I painted all the little lines on the "yard" word. A question I have now answered over a dozen times since I painted this.

I thought it would be so cute with all the measurement lines on there, and, if I do say so myself, in the end, it does! But once I started... I knew I got in a bit over my head. Couldn't lift my arm for a few hours after but worth every eighth of an inch :-)

Black, Red & Mirror Bubble Nursery

This mural was done in a nursery. The red and black bubbles were painted all around the top half of room so they were visible from the crib. Mirror bubbles were added to give the space more dimension and interest.
